Garswood Hall Bowling and Community Club have opened its doors to the community and have had huge success.
Nick and the committee decided to make the addition of Community Club to Garswood Bowling Clubs title in the hope to open doors to new members, partners and the community. The latest project ran by the Club has proved this was the right move.
Since April 2017 they have been running a ‘Bowl and Plate’ session which was funded through ‘The Deal for Communities Investment Fund’ which aims to improve health, nutrition and fitness whilst improving confidence, self-esteem, wellbeing and reducing social isolation.
Since the start of the project they have attracted over 500 people to the club and now have a regular attendance of around 75 people playing bowls and using the community café.
Bowl and Plate runs every Friday 11am-2pm (subject to weather)
