The next deadline for Sportivate applications is Tuesday 1st December. This is for Phase 11 projects, to be delivered between April and September 2016.
‘Sportivate is a key part of Sport England’s London 2012 participation legacy plan which brings additional funding into grassroots sport. Sportivate offers young people aged 11-25, who are not participating regularly in sport, the opportunity to take part in 6 to 8 weeks of high quality coaching sessions and supports them to continue playing sport afterwards’.
The priority for Phase 11 is to fund projects which target one or more of the following groups: women & girls, 19-25 year olds, disabled participants, ethnic minorities, consistently inactive young people. Proposals which don’t involve these groups should be really targeted and have a strong evidence of need. Applicants are advised to read the Sport England Youth Insight research here prior to submitting an application.
